Thanked: 0Round 2
Well Sunday night the Shumate and I tangled again, and I am happy to post there are no cuts to report or show off, just some minor razor burn on the neck......
I know Shumate will get me again in the later rounds, but I am bound and determined to at least get a draw in this thing....LOL

Grats on your successful shave. I remember from when I started myself, it took a little getting used to. The hard part for me was learning to apply less pressure after having been used to the multiblades. The lighter the touch, the closer the shave. Keep at it and it'll be second nature soon enough.

Good Progress!
Congratulations! At this stage, " no cuts or blood" = "great shave".
The razor burn is normal until your muscle memory learns to use feather lightness.
Happy Shaving!

Thanked: 993no cuts, no blood, only a bit of razor burn. These are sure signs that you're impoving, whether you think so or not. Keep at it. That Shumate may well become your best friend at some point. Mine is up there for great shavers.

Congratulations on a second successful straight razor shave.
Eve a little nick here and there doesn't mean you've failed at mastering straight razor shaving or that its a bad shave.
A bad shave is when you remove an ear lobe, cut your juguar or, God forbid, chip your razor's blade on the bathroom sink's faucet. Ugh!"Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
