    Default First good shave!

    Okay I'm into straight razor shaving for about a month now. Just did my first complete shave without the use of my old cartridge razor. Silky smooth! I heated my water up in my Old Spice Mug and cleaned my face good. Rubbed on some pre shave oil and latherd up. I used my very sharp Wester Bros. razor and was able to make WTG, XTG and ATG using both hands. The only blood was just a few spots at the base of my neck where my razor handling is still not good. I just love it guys! Thanks for everyones help! I can hardly wait to shave again!

    Thumbs up Congratulations!

    That first all straight shave is a major accomplishment. Good for you. I am in my fourth month. It will only get better as your technique gradually becomes second nature to you.

    While I now can do all three passes with a straight, I often do my third ATG pass with my Edwin Jagger DE89L just because I also enjoy the 89L so much.
