As i mention early it is small enough and can be removed by honing.
your blade will have a little more hone wear that is all.
will shave how it was shaving.

That can be fixed. I'd start with heavy stropping, which I'd quickly give up on unless it showed any improvement, followed by backhoning on a low grit, and then a bevel reset and regular honing.

I think you dodged a bullet there! It sucks that it happened at all, but most of the blades I've seen that have been dropped are chipped out, not bent...and usually much bigger than that. Do a search on dropped razors and you'll see some razor gore.

E-mail SRD and see what they'll do, then consider Sham's advice (Hi_bud_gl).

    Peace,

i think it can be fixed, i would gladly do it for you if i had the hones, but all i have is a barber hone, I wish you the best and hope that if it ever happens in the future that i will have the hones to help you out with.

    Angelo,
I'm a newbie also. I inherited an older straight razor that I honed myself after watching Lynn's video and getting a razor from Larry at whippeddog.com. Lynn's video told me what to do and Larry's shave ready razor told me when to stop doing it.

I've also watched a few other honing videos on youtube that have been helpful. Some of those razors had nicks in the edge that looked worse than yours. I don't think there's any doubt your razor can be honed as good as new. However, I would send it off to Lynn or some of the others to do it. It's going to take a while to get the nick out. These guys have the knowledge and equipment to do that much better and faster than I could. I'm pretty sure you could get an estimate beforehand.

    Good luck.

As others have said, "It will hone out."

it could have definitely been a lot worse. my heart skipped a beat when i saw it falling fought every urge to start swatting at it.. did some looking around and it seems as it should hone out fine its just something that didnt need to happen
