my first attempts at uberlather following the video posted on this site turned out awesome. am wondering what makes such the difference, is it the glycerin? i noticed you can use very little cream and only 2 drops of glycerin and about a tablespoon of the soap water and 15 seconds of loading the soap is more then enough. over-flows my mug with lather within seconds.

it is certainly impressive how it forms and i enjoy the preparation but how does it compare longer term to using a quality soap alone? it is still hard for me to quantify qualities of lather like cushion, etc.
