There are no stupid questions, only stupid askers. :P

I rinse and shake out my brush before I hang it upside-down. leaving your brush rightside-up will damage it and cause it to shed. (I think)

As for my bowl, I have a puck of soap at the bottom and I never rinse it out. -- no mold, and it seems just fine.

Also, pro-tip for the cheapos like me, you can take a coat hangar and a pair of pliers and make a brush stand instead of buying one.

I squeeze the last of the lather out of my brush and use it for a final wash of my face before applying AS, then rinse brush and cup.

I also rinse everything thoroughly. Soap, brush, brush cup and lather cup. I use the left over lather for a face wash, just so I have more of a chance to smell nice. Every now and then I also wash out everything, just to make sure I get every soap's and cream's own smell when working up a lather.

It just feels cleaner, and you're really not wasting any soap. Anothger use for left-over lather would be my girlfriend using it for shaving her legs. She gets to use her hands or my synthetic brush for that though.

Don't want any yucky girl-germs and cooties on my badger.

    ...

That just sounds wrong in so many ways.

Same here. Plus I coat my str8 with Camellia oil everyday after I dry off the razor.

I'm with the consensus. I rinse and dry my brush every time I use it and hang it to dry and I use a tin to make my soap so I don't wash it out because the soap is in it. I also rinse and wipe and dry my razors too.
