I think this is the reason why I have been able to use a straight 2 days in a row without much trouble - something, which was unthinkable for my skin with the multi-blades. What I notice is that with the straight I may have redness in some spots, but when it goes away (in half an hour or so) there is no problem whatsoever. With the multi-blades, when there's redness, I get bumps, burn and my skin (neck esp.) is screwed for several days. And ingrowns are so much fun...

Shaving 2 days in a row with a multi-blade was a really bad experience for me. This is why I had to use an electric, which felt pretty lame, and I transitioned to a DE. DE was better than multi-blade but even with limited experience the straight gives me better results.
