Good Evening,
I am new to SRP and have found it both fun and informative, Althought I have gone over the many pages of this site and have not found the information I need, I know I can get the help of the SRP elder brothers.
I have a straight razor that I have little to no way of knowing what it is . I wish I could send in a pic but do not have a camera. So I will describe it as best I can.
It is a 5/8 with a Square tip, dark coffee brown scales, 9" in total length when opened, the markings are a little rusted over so it's hard to read them all, what I can see is, Some rusted over word that I can't make out, then the word "cut" then "cc" (that's the top rocker) and that it's from "New York U.S.A" (thats the buttom rocker) with what looks like a cats head in the middle of a set of wings or a flattend wreth, and "X002" down near the scales.
I would also like to know if this razor is worth my time bringing it back to shave ready or if the blade is trash i.e. crape steel, cheap brand. There are no big nicks that would stop me and the rust is mostly on the tail and that one word, so I could live with the little bit of pitting thats left behind, I would like to try if it's worth it.
Please help if you can, Thank you my bothers.
V/r Rich.
