New to SRP
Hi all:
I've been lurking here since about May ... finally decided to register.
There is so much experience here to draw from and so many helpful hints and suggestions.
i have a few "shave ready" razors (all vintage) and am working ont that BBS you all rave about.
things are coming around slowly but surely. I only had a couple of really poor shaves and havent picked mach 3 since.
Thanks for such an awsome website!
Best regards all!
Mike

Thanked: 17Welcome aboard. Sounds like you're on the perfect track.
I get BBS on my cheeks almost every shave but still have not quite got there on my neck. Important is that I'm getting irritation free shaves daily with my straight. The BBS will come as I continue to focus on the fundementals.

Thanked: 46Hi Mike and welcome to SRP!! I had been Straight shaving for over 40 years when I found this site completely by accident. Even after that long of time with a straight razor I found that one never and I mean never knows it all and that there is always room for improvement. This group of guys are just great and want to help with your learning curve. Please, always ask questions about ANY phase of straight shaving and the people of this forum will be glad to help. Best Regards and Happy Shaving, wildhog

THANKS ALL .... As i said ... I've been lukring quite a while and have learned enough just reading all the posts and seeing all the help everybody is getting. I picked up Grandpas Boker King Cutter in May and even though it wasnt quite sharpe enough to be comfortable i refuse to go back to a multiblade ever again. Being very enthusiastic at first and having never seen a post with regard to consumption of alcohol and shaving (i must say we may need to address that issue) ... Might have just called myself McBlade .....lol
