I am converted!
Hi all,
Dean from Oz here. Let me start by saying, what a fantastic forum! I stumbled across it and over the last couple of weeks I have been converted to the "Wet Shave". I purchased a razor out of the classifieds from Harvitz81 (big thanks !) . Last night I was brave enough to shave off three weeks of growth and with no technique and little idea, cheap soap and a brush that was disintegrating as I used it. Whad-do-you-know I managed a super close shave and only one tiny cut! Thank the Gods I had the forsight to get a shave ready blade! I am really excited and eager to develop my technique and truely feel I have discovered a new passion. Big thanks to all the members who have contributed to create such an awesome resource.

Just be careful not to get cocky with that blade. It will bite you as soon as shave you if you don't treat it with due respect. Take your time and enjoy yourself.

Welcome to SRP! And congrats on that great first shave.
I'll echo the admonition to respect that blade. Things will only get better from here, but they can quickly turn south if you get cocky! (This is personal experience talking!)
