How is it healing?

In addition to vitamin E, applying Aloe Vera Gel 3-4 times a day seems to reduce the visibility of scars. I found it really does help.

Of course, I am not bothered by my shaving scars. I have one that I got when I did an unsupervised shave at the age of four. Still slightly visible and no beard will grow in that spot. For me, it is a badge of honor.

I got myself good about 4 months ago, i can still see where i cut myself but its almost gone now.

You would be surprised how well razor scars heal, especially if you look after the cut at the time.

ps. I found Neosporin works well to help them heal

A good cut will give you a whole new respect for that straight razor . Keep the angle low , and only use enough pressure to keep the edge in contact with your skin .

Yes it will.......

They're 'clean' cuts so the scars usually tend to heal/fade away better then those from the typical scrape or 'tear'. Can still take time though and won't always be a 100% 'disappearance'.

If you want to significantly improve the time and odds, aside from the vitamin E and creams already mentioned, might be worth giving pure shea butter a try. Supposed to be pretty amazing stuff when it comes to helping or getting rid of dry skin, eczema, stretch marks, and scars.

It takes six months for a scar to return to the same relative condition as the skin surrounding it. This change is seen when the skin color of the scar turns from reddish to the same relative color nearby.

The picture looks like a dueling scar. You weren't trying to shave with a saber were you?

I've had slightly bigger that didn't leave a scar. My secret: I use Clubman Nick Relief on it right away and as soon as the bleeding stops, I use Neosporin.

almost in exactly the same place as I got my scar from my very first attempt at str8 shaving. I still have it 6 months later but it is less, don't think it will ever go away completely but maybe a couple years it will blend in.

I too have had a couple in the same general location. All the recomendations are right on. All but one of my scars have heeled and are unnoticeable now except one. And you have to look very hard to see it now it has to be 7 or 8 years old now.

There is a hella learning curve. But once you get it you got it.
