    They're 'clean' cuts so the scars usually tend to heal/fade away better then those from the typical scrape or 'tear'. Can still take time though and won't always be a 100% 'disappearance'.

    If you want to significantly improve the time and odds, aside from the vitamin E and creams already mentioned, might be worth giving pure shea butter a try. Supposed to be pretty amazing stuff when it comes to helping or getting rid of dry skin, eczema, stretch marks, and scars.

    It takes six months for a scar to return to the same relative condition as the skin surrounding it. This change is seen when the skin color of the scar turns from reddish to the same relative color nearby.

    The picture looks like a dueling scar. You weren't trying to shave with a saber were you?
