Thanks all. It has been a fantastic experience. I'm actually looking forward to my shave everyday now.
It appears I have acute razor acquisition disorder. seeing as how SRD has the lifetime honing deal, I've bought another one this morning.
At least this is a 3 paycheck month...so my credit card won't hurt as much.

Allow me to piggyback here.
I just had the first shave with a razor I bought myself for Christmas. Thankfully, I was a good boy and deserved it.
Rough stuff. Not proud, but no blood. Finished with my DE. Very smooth but I'm sure it will take time. Would like to have know a bit more and purchased compound for the "linen" side of the strop, but I'll survive eventually. Not my greatest concern. Should be an interesting journey.
