My neck
The only thing I still can't get is shaving my neck with a Straight razor I'm not sure if it's my angle or pressure so any suggestions would be helpful

Thanked: 993Truthfully...it's probably a bit of both.
The neck can be a challenging area because your view is slightly obscured. Try lowering your angle a tad first. See where that goes.

The only pressure you need on the neck is the amount needed to keep the blade moving. If the blade is sharp and you keep the angle low, you should do well.

Thanked: 17The neck can be quite difficult. I'm still trying to figure out the angles and touch ups. For me one of the biggest things was laying the razor almost flat against my neck, especially on ATG. As others have mentioned, a very gentle touch is important as well. Make sure you hold the razor firmly as well to maintain control.
Keep at it, it'll all come together eventually then you'll love it.

Tyler!
It’s not just only the angle and pressure that's giving you problems, it’s also that steel reinforced beard of yours!
My basic shave involves two passes, I won’t get into the other parts of my face, just the neck!
I shave straight down with the angle at about 25-30 degrees, then when I re-lather, I shave straight up with the spine of the blade almost, but not quite on my neck. (quite low) It’s really hard to describe and everyone’s face is different!
Keep working on it! Hopefully that 1/4" grind you just received will help!
