The cream that they carry is made by Prorazo. So if you buy it on an after Christmas sale it may be worth looking. Also ask if they'll special order for you the next time they expect an order.

If you want inexpensive have you considered using Soaps instead of creams? Overall the prices are not too bad and frankly, I find myself turning to soaps more and more and creams less and less

    My fav's are:

Tabac: Figure between 22 and 30 for a 4.4 oz puck with the bowl. refills are between 15 and 20... (Based on a quickie search on Amazon YMMV)
MWF: I paid online about 24 bucks for it in a nice wooden bowl, it has a reputation for being difficult to lather until you get the hang but I find now that I'm used to it it gives me the best cushion and comfort..
TOBS Sandalwood: about 15 bucks in the wooden bowl on Amazon.. (This one is ok by itself but REALLY shines in an uber )

    Hope this helps

I'll add also that I've tried a handful of high end creams and soaps, and this is one of my favs.

Proraso/Bigelow is good, but for lower cost creams I would highly recommend Speick. It's not discussed/praised enough on the forums IMO.

+1 to Speick. It rocks. I like the fragrance, the wife's not crazy about it. They make an entire line of products. The AS Intensiv cream is great, and so is the Bath Soap...

Been thru about 2 large tubes of CO Bigelow and one of Proraso (original) and I think the Proraso is a little more mentholy.
Lately have been using the Proraso in a tub, TOBS in a tub and Tabac in the jar. I have one more large tube of CO Bigelow. When I bought it, it was buy to get one free at Bed Bath.

The CO Bigelow is a great shave, but get it when they have the sale.

I know canned creams should generally be avoided but I sometimes use the nivea canned cream if I am in a rush. It is much better and thicker than any other canned shave cream I have used. Just a thought, dont tar and feather me.

Ack! (Heating the tar over an outdoor fire as I type.) hehe.

I tried Barbasol from a can during my straight training. Tossed it in the trash. If you are going to take the time for a proper shave, then use a proper shaving cream!

If you know anyone who goes to Italy: Proraso is sold in the supermarkets there and dirt cheap: just over 1 Euro couple of years ago.
