Thread: My Whipped Dog order has arrived + First Shave advise

Hi gents,

I just received my order from Whipped Dog. Larry is a pleasure to deal with, he even included a free razor rolls. I recommend anyone who wants to try straight razor shave to get your first kit from whippeddog.com.

Anyhow I have been reading a lot from this forum about wetshaving and am a DE shaver since mid last year. Tomorrow I plan to shave with the kit, very excited about this. Any advise for a complete newb at straight shave? I have read that its recommended to not strop on first shave?

Btw, I have shaved with a Parker SRW before, twice to be exact, they weren't very nice shaves. Is shaving with real straights different from a disposable straight?
