Thanked: 11Waiting to start sucks
I ordered my first straight 2 weeks ago Friday past, still hasn't arrived. Stuck at the border I presume since I'm in Canada and it was ordered from the US. Hoping it's here tomorrow. I wasn't given any tracking info so have no idea. Dying to get into this, been doing the brush and shaving soap thing for years already. I ordered my second straight a week ago, from within Canada, that's not here yet either. That one I had to mail a money order, it hasn't shipped yet, he hasn't received the MO yet.
Haven't even shaved yet and I already ordered 2. Guess I'll fit in fine around here.

Look at the bright side: You haven't nicked yourself yet.

Spend this time wisely my friend . Review the wiki and watch the videos. You wont regret it when your first shave goes off with out a hitch.
Beware this is also how RAD begins and there is only one known cure...being broke!

Where did you order from that you didn't get a tracking number?
Hang in there, it will all be worth it when the goods arrive

Thanked: 11I once had MTS (multiple tank syndrome - affects aquarium owners) so I'm probably prone to RAD. I gave away my couch once to make room for more tanks. As long as I don't give away my toilet to make room for more razors I should be okay.
I ordered it from straight-razors-for-sale.com. He did email me to say it shipped.

You could have spent those 2 weeks practising your stropping.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

What kind of Razors did you order?

Ugh, I know the feeling of deciding to enter the world of SR shaving and then having to wait! I had to wait almost a year myself, as I decided I wanted a SR just before I moved into an apt with my fiance, which was just before I got married. So it was a while until I could find some money and justify spending it on a razor
I hope your razors arrive soon, and shave ready!

Thanked: 11The first is a Gold Dollar 200. Yeah, I know they suck but he says he 'fixes' them first. I was thinking I didn't want to spend too much to get started in case didn't like it. But then I realized I was fooling myself, of course I would like it! So the second is a new Dovo, and yes, it will be shave ready. It was ordered from The Classic Edge.
