Thanked: 270I've been straight shaving two years and I don't know if I've had 5 or 6 shaves without a bite (or a nibble)! Carry on.
The problem I had as a beginner was being too focused, trying hard to remember everything I had to do. In time, you'll be functioning on automatic pilot, standing in front of the mirror while your hands do the work.
You're doing great!

Something similar happened to me on my last shave purely from going too fast and dropping all semblance of technique.
For me, the mood wasn't right to begin with so that didn't help matters any.

Thanked: 118It has to happen to everyone.
This is your straight razors way of politely asking for your attention!May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!
