I never drink and shave-- but I do usually get pretty lubed when I hone, I think it lightens up my stroke

i usually have one right AFTER the shave to reward myself for not dying! although there have been times (many actually) i have the nip before the shave.

There is something about a glass of homemade hard cider and then a shave in the late afternoon. It can and does turn a mans day around.

Definitely not alone. It's not uncommon for a beer or a bourbon & ginger to sit on the bathroom counter while I shave either. It's fine nowadays, but I never would have done that in the beginning.

drive then drink,
shave then drink,
sex then smoke.

As a bonus: if your blood alcohol level is high enough, the wound will disinfect itself.

as long as your not seeing double and can keep one eye open you can shave...may not be pretty, but it makes for a hell of a story when they ask how you lost your nose.
