Default Just bought a new blade

    Hey there,
I just bought a new BOKER. My treat to myself for quitting smoking. Question is, is this going to be as good as the Boker I have now that is 90 years old? I have an old king cutter (nay be 100 years old) and I just ordered an Edelveiss directly from the manufactuer. Not cheap, but I have the straight razer bug. I see alot of money disappearing in my new shaving hobby.

Congratulations on quitting smoking, you sure deserve to treat yourself. I have a vintage edelweiss (great razor) but cant comment on the new razors.
    Good luck!

As long as your new Boker was purchased shave ready you should be impressed with your new toy. Bokers are great razors, no matter the age

BTW - Are you in Lancaster Park just north of the Henday and Edmonton?

I just got a Boker Edelwiess about 3 weeks ago, and its an awesome shaver. I got it from SRD so it was professionally honed for me. I don't know if it comes ready to shave from the manufacture.

The razer is probably not shave ready as it is new (no middle man) but I have been honing my old razer with good results. And yes... I am in Lancaster Park Alberta, couple miles north of Edmonton. (Tis the army life for me)
