1. I am still working on that.
2. I found the white Proraso Aftershave Balm nice and cooling. It doesn't burn with nicks.

Thanked: 1936I personally base all of my soaps that I have used off Proraso. It works well in any water, not all shave soaps do. It's consistent between batches and the new stuff performs as well as the old formula...just smells a little different. This is one soap that I will always keep in the cabinent. I actually try to keep a couple tubs as it's a great gift for someone who shows interest in our sport. Please keep in mind that I have only tested about 50 different shave soaps...
After your shave, an alum block. It is a direct indicator of a poor shave & will help with weepers. If it burns, you didn't do too good a job shaving. If you just move the wet block over your face and just feel your skin tightening...you did a good job shaving. I started using alum to help with razorburn as I am really prone to razorburn on my neck during summer. After I use the alum block, blot to dry with a towel, then I apply a alcohol based aftershave. If you aren't prone to razorburn, you might try some Nivea Post Shave Balm for Sensative skin...good stuff & does NOT burn.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Thank you and God Bless, Scott
