Gotta have pics to see what it is. I've used pumice stone and/or sandpaper to get rid of minute nicks. If you're going to drink don't strop ...... only time I ever put a bad one in a strop. Up towards the top of a Tony Miller 2 1/2" latigo. I used Duro Contact Cement to glue the flap back down and you can't even see it now.
