Default Lesson Learned , pay attention to where you leave your stuff

    Howdy,
Had a few buddies over the weekend, and one of them was borrowing my shower. When I got up to shower it looks liked there were water marks on my strop. Upon closer inspection they were small parts of my strop missing, and inspection of my DE razor there were peices of leather in my razor. So now there are a bunch of nicks in my strop. You think I can get that out with a pumice stone or something else? Later when I figure out how to post pictures I will show the damage. But lessons learned pay attention to who can get a hold of your stuff.

Gotta have pics to see what it is. I've used pumice stone and/or sandpaper to get rid of minute nicks. If you're going to drink don't strop ...... only time I ever put a bad one in a strop. Up towards the top of a Tony Miller 2 1/2" latigo. I used Duro Contact Cement to glue the flap back down and you can't even see it now.

I'll try and get the pics when I get home. I'm not very confident that it is salvageable, and if it isn't I'm not worried it only cost $20

You should ban your "buddies" from ever visiting again -- for life. :-)

Or have him buy a new strop for you. In my circle if you break it you bought it.

Nice friends you have over there, even its a cheap strop,..thy must now, stay away from things that are not yours.(guys at the age of 5 fuck up things from another)
But you should thank them, now you can buy a more expensive.
And the next time, let your friends keep out your bathroom.

Yeah I'm not sure what was happening. I just know that one was making sure the other wasn't passing out in the bathroom. And I'm not upset over it, Things happens and I'll probably evetually do something or borrow something that will make up for it. kinda happens with us.

Goes about that way with me and mine as well. Theory running that eventually it'll all even out. Works for so long as you have friends willing to have it even out rather than who want to take advantage of that arrangement. Sad to say I've had "friends" who worked both ways. The ones willing to have things even out are the ones you keep.

Yep. I wouldn't tell that ill-mannered dipwad that the strop he destroyed only cost $20, though. Time to upgrade! And while you're at it, send that razor out to be re-honed on your "buddy's" nickle.
