Tabac is quite similar to Martin de Candre in my opinion, if not better. So worth giving that a go as well. It's not a small soap - a small one will go for years. I have the larger size since late 2010 and it has barely gone down a bit!

Thanked: 1I too find the tallow based soaps work better for me. Tabac is my go to but just recently got some mikes natural soap. Ended up getting the rose and cedar wood and man that stuff is good. Would definitely check mike's out and for the price you just cant go wrong. A quick google search for mikes natural soaps and his site should come right up.

Hi! If you love Tabac, which I also love, you would like Mikes Natural Soap and Mitchel Wool Fat. They both have tallow, like Tabac, and Mike's has lanolin. They are every bit as protective and slick as Tabac. The only thing is they are not as easy to lather, but once you diled them up, you would love them as I do. They give me a variety of scents to pick from, depending on my mood that day.
From Mike's I like ( in this order) Lemongrass/eucaliptus, Orange/ pepper/cedar, lime. Have tried barbershop, Hungarian lavender, unscented, they have the slickness and protectiveness, but the scent dosen't do much for me like the others. Haven't tried the Bay rum and some others new ones he have in his site.
Have fun with it all! Double O
