Gentlemen,

It is my first post therefore let me introduce myself, my name is Norm, I am 48 year old and I live in Montreal PQ. As far as I can remember I was always interested in straight razor, I don’t know why, maybe it is the mystic behind it. 25 year ego in my early 20 I received one as a gift but because of a lack of knowledge and information I was not very successful eventhow all my effort, I got discourage therefore in the drawer for 25 years went the shaver but I was wet shaving with a DE since then . A couple of years ego I found this site by accident and decide to compromise with an Feather AC, interesting tool, it is giving me a perfect shave, extremely close, very smooth with zero irritation but more important it give me the chance to fine tune my shaving technique to. Anyway for some reason I decide to get the traditional straight honed by an expert of this site, give another try and BANG, men what a great shave I got, I could not believe it, finally I could experience the pleasure of a perfect shave with a traditional straight razor.

Therefore here I am ready to take the plunge to learn the basic of honing and stropping. I did loose some interest in my beloved Feather AC but I will keep it anyway. It is a great tool, it gives perfect shave and it will be a good point of comparison going through the learning curve of the honing and stropping technique
