Thanked: 247Truth spoken!
I feel confident and cool as I shave these days. I no longer lock the door and almost always have my 10 year old son in the room chatting with me. I am capable of a great shave if I can get the stroke directions right...
My silly face has so many different grains that I can never concentrate enough to remember them all. Ahhh the joys of learning....

I'm sorry. I see only now I have written "type" instead of "time". That reminds me that I should post messages when I have the time to do that and not when I am in a hurry because of my job!
So, I wanted to write "It takes tyme to find the right combination of them all".
Pardon me gentlemen.

Sage would be a nice scent. I always enjoy it when I'm cooking

Thanked: 443A shave soap seasoned like a good stew or spaghetti sauce would be an interesting thing, no?
Back to chins... I shave mine last, along with the 'stache, and rinse off/replace the original lather before I do. That way those whiskers get a presoak cycle and I'm not fighting them through drying lather.
Sounds like a lot of faceturbating in the early posts. No shame in that, we all do it. It's how you can learn your grain while away from your shaving gear. Just don't give yourself zits!"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

I generally go cheeks, jaw, sides of neck, upper lip, chin, under chin. Seems to work well and I like to leave the middle of my neck for last as I have a rather large mole just above my Adams apple that likes to get cut even with cartridges

Usually I can time it so that I raise the edge just before reaching it to clip those 3 ugly hairs coming out of the thing. Sometimes I lift a little too early & have to try again. So far, knocking quite vigorously on wood, I haven't cut it with a straight yet. Of course if I did that I likely wouldn't have to have it removed as the thing would be sliced clean off!
