I use it for reconditioning horn scales. It is amazing what a difference a soak in neatsfoot can do to revitalize old scales, as well as making new ones pop. It's used extensively on saddles and other tack for horses as well as generally treating leather. I know some guys use it (sparingly!) on strops too, but I have not done that myself.
livingontheedge: Apple Saddlery on (I think) Innes sells pure neatsfoot oil too, if that's any closer to you. It's across from the Rona between Blair and Cyrville.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
