just straight-shaved my "noggin"
Tired of my receding hairline due to my prevalent Male Patern Baldness syndrome, I decided to shave my head and it went pretty well, only 2 nicks where apparantly I have moles on my head. It was the first time ever I shaved my head so it's pretty reddish now but overal it went great, colleen's soap made it just like combing my hair.
I can now baldly go where no man has gone beforeLast edited by harold; 12-06-2006 at 01:12 PM. Reason: s/face/head/

no, so far I never managed to cut off a mole, just nick them on the top :s
Cuttng them off would probably be better no doubt

yeah shaving the noggin would be a bit more difficult than the side of my face, but i have seen a guy doing it at the airport near me and he had cuts all over and that was with one of those disposable razors!

I'd recommend a heavy wedge razor for shaving the head. The edge should last long enough to properly do the head but it would still need to be touched up more often than face-shaving razors.

Thanked: 2Ya' got guts, I'll give you that. I thought I was doing something when I had my barber switch from scissors to a #3 clipper cut yesterday but daaaay-um! Although when he told me he used a longer setting to blend the sides in with what I "had left" left on top I DID mention something about the relationship he had with his mother.
Maybe I'll have to shave up there eventually but I just don't see me getting more adventurous than the clippers - I like my ears just the way they are ... as a pair.

I'd prefer a small rasor for this, do 4/8 wedges exist or do they only come starting at a bigger size?

currently I strop my razor between each pass about 50 times, keeps it nice and smooth. I've tried a bigger blade now which didn't went too bad, just have to find a way to get rid of these damned moles. :/ (checking out lasertherapy for it tomorrow, they just need to be flattened)

I would love to shave my head with a straight, but am a little apprehensive due to several largish moles I have, as well. I also have some scars up on top that might be hard to shave around, but hey, maybe I'd just shave em down and round it out anyway. Maybe once I've gotten good at my face I'll get adventurous.
I usually shave my head with clippers every week back in the states. Here I grow out my hair because haircuts are 3 bucks a whack and I can afford to get one every Monday. Back home paying someone 14 bucks to (usually) jack my hair up anyway gets old.
