Yes! I have a razor with Navaja on it. Some curiosity found that it (Navaja) originally refers to a wicked knife back in Spain which was carried covertly by men and women as the government outlawed weapons. Interesting subject, it seems that many were made, carried, and exported. Many varieties, some were extremely intricate and fancy. Highly collectible! The first lock-backs were introduced. The term has been used to advertise a sharp folder ever since.

Navaja has always meant blade or razor, typically a folding razor, because swords were mainly used by the nobles it (navaja) became a weapon for the poor. when swords eventually became discontinued, because of laws or because they were impractical, the folding knives were still used as weapons or tools (small, easy to conceal and carry).

Thanked: 22What a great thread. Not sure I ever thought of them as either. My wife is convinced they are all she, as I am always playing with them. Some do talk to me however. "Go ahead, get careless, I'm gonna get ya!", others may whisper, "you can spead up, I'm not going to hurt you". Don't remember attaching a gender to either voice, but have noticed the threatening ones don't hang around too long!
