    Smile "Somewhat Stoked"

Well. I'm really a newbie and it shows, still make a few errors in posting messages.
I had just been in the wrong Forum (place?) and left the following:
A few things have happened since the last time I spoke with you all.
At that time I was logged in as "look forward" and was asking about what I had been told 10 years ago which was that a razor can loose it's ability to hold an "edge". I had gotten just about an immediate response from a few member's with their ideas and in particular Randy who was generous enough to hone and test said razor.
Well he sent me a message today that the razor is ready and it's on the way back and believe me I'm excited. I can feel comfortable that at least it's shave ready and not that doubt I had before.
One of the things I can remember reading somewhere was that a blade shouldn't be stropped immediately after honing. Is that correct?
I've got an Illinois #127, but still need to read up on proper stropping method.
Oh, I changed my login to cromdome2000, which I thought was more appropriate than "look forward" because I have a full beard and only use a straight razor on my neck and head.
Anyway, I'm glad I'll be shaving again soon, with a new honed blade.

    Take Care, Larry

You should be stoked. A new razor is lots of fun.
