    Please proceed with caution with a nicked blade - those things can bite sometimes. Yours doesn't look too bad, but be careful.

    IMHO, it should be taken to the hones to get rid of that ding. Where are you located? There may be someone nearby who can help you out.

    It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
    This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
