I use a can of computer duster to blow out between the blades and around the pivot. Much faster and safer than tissue paper.

Here in Colorado its usually dryer then a popcorn fart so i wipe mine down inside and out and then move it out of the bathroom. Works for me, maybe the rice thing is a good idea for you as it is a very cheap way to keep moister out and it will work well.

Sometimes, no matter how dry you think you got everything, some moisture remains. If you do keep it in a case, maybe get one of those silica packs or even some rice to help absorb the moisture away. Hope this helps.
Thanks! I've moved it from out of the case, put it inside a safe drawer completely open with a tupperware container next to it with rice. So far there hasn't been any new spots appearing, fingers still staying crossed though!

The alcohol will take the water out and it will also act as an agent to spread the ineral oil over the blade. Both of these methods have helped me here in humid Florida. Most important to dry the blade after you have used it. Good luck!
Dipping my razor into alcohol and mineral oil won't affect the scales on the Dovo Bismark Pearl?

If not, that sounds like a pretty good idea...
