From what I can ascertain, Gerb. Bohler & Co. was originally located in Kapfenberg, Austria and later had facilities in Germany. The company was primarily a steel manufacturer to be used for tools and guns. There have been others who have posted razors from the Bohler Co. Here are two links you may be interested in:

Question: Could the "Ta" you said was in the tang be "Ia"?

[QUOTE=Wxman2000;1064035]Will Ty it out tomorrow morning before work...lets hope I don't end up with more slashes than I already have. Here's my nice one from this morning...slipped a bit doing a XTG pass. Oops!/QUOTE]
I think it gives you character Wxman! Sort of the rough and tumble, bad ass, don't mess with me look. The girls will be all over you thinking you are a "bad boy". They go for guys like that.

Well, it happened...
Thanks for the link, and I took another look at the razor and sure enough I think it is "Ia"...just the bottom line of the "I" is a bit rubbed down. Thanks for the links, I'd love to check this kind of stuff out, but I didn't even know what to search for on google initially.

[QUOTE=WhiteLion;1064067]I'm sure the girls part my wife (amleay) wouldn't like though. Some extra character is always good though. Funny, but I've been going in to work with all these niks and cuts lately and nobody has said a word. I'm sure they've noticed as some are pretty obvious. Maybe they're just too scared to ask

I'm sure Amleay will keep that from happening though...but just a few weeks ago I had a hard time talking her into me getting the first razor.....

Maybe they think Amleay is doing the damage and don't want to inquire further.
As for the research, be sure to have German to English translator opened when you view links so you can copy and paste the info or type it in to see what is being said. I use Google Chrome and it offers to translate the pages for you. It does a very good job of translation.

True...I did notice most of the sites were in German. I use chrome too but didn't realize you could do that I guess.
