Thread: Need a honemaster in Melbourne

hi all,

Not sure if this is the right/appropriate spot to ask, but as a rank beginner with a new (2 shaves) Dovo Solingen Forestal razor, I'd like to get it honed professionally. No doubt I'll buy the my own honing stones down the track a bit, but for now just need some help. replies appreciated!

There are quite a few guys "Down Under" that hone...

Hit Classifieds then hit Member Services I am sure Onimaru/Oz is in there and I think a couple more...

Oz is in Sydney if you don't mind posting the razor, but I know there are a couple of people in or near Melbourne that would be able to help. Unfortunately I don't know how often they get on the forum these days. One bloke is at Ferntree Gully. He might be your closest help.

Thanks Havachat45, that's a great offer and very much appreciated. My wife told me yesterday that she's getting me a Shapton 4000 and 8000 hone set for my birthday later this week. Looks like my questions will shortly take a different turn!!

Mine is Friday week too (14th), however, my SWMBO thinks I have too much of everything shaving related so she'll probably get me shoes and handbags.........hehehehehehehehehehe

Thanks mate, I'm sure you've pointed out to your SWMBO that your birthday and Xmas are entirely different events, necessitating entirely different (shaving related) pressies!
