Some local barber/beauty supply brick and mortar stores may have AS. I've found Pinuad Bay Rum and that sort of thing at those. You could also pick up a puck of Williams at most pharmacies. Cheap but a lot of guys like it.

A few guys have mentioned the C.O.Bigelow at Bath & Body Works which is re-branded Proraso green. If you have Rite Aid drug stores up there, they carry "The Real Shave Company Moisturizing Shave Cream", which is a ridiculous name, but a seriously top notch cream. No matter how much "stuff" I aquire, these two are both good enough to stay in my rotation alongside the big boys.

Thanked: 1184You never mentioned anything about a strop. You may want to start looking for one of those or when the razor comes(providing it's shave ready) you will have a lull in your excitement again. Or maybe I missed that thread .

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 11I'm surprised nobody has mentioned The Body Shop Maca Root Shave Cream. One of my favorites and lathers like crazy for me.

Seriously, good lather is paramount to a good shave. You get what you pay for! Or make!

I rest my case.

+1 on the glycerin. I use a drop or two almost every time that I make a lather. Not necessary, but neither is having a collection of shaving soaps and creams....it's just nice to have a choice
Gotta say, Proraso is still my favourite cream, hands down. Smells like heaven and feels awesome. I have both the tube cream and tub soap. I love it so much that I've even started to use the tub soap to wash my face! LOL
