I wash the entire razor off with warm water. Wipe it off with tissue paper, using a folder piece to clean and dry the interior of the scales.

A very fortunate outcast! Maybe it has something to do with the water hardness. Honestly I wouldn't have believed that I could get waterspots with the water sitting on the blade DURING a shave but I do. Now that I dry it after each rinse, it's never been an issue.
With another razor, I left it open in a stand on my sink. After washing my face a drop must have landed on the blade and the next morning I had the darkest spot! After using MAAS I never actually got it all the way off. Sucks...

Thanked: 2027Is all very simple to prevent,on the final rinse, use the hottest water that comes out of the tap (about 140 Degs) Pls do not bring up worrys about blade tempers, wipe with a tissue, the blade will amazingly,Due to the heat, dry itself.

I use the folded damp towell/washcloth to remove the lather as I shave.
Not going to doink the edge on the faucet if you stay clear of it...
When I started shaving I noticed that this helped me stay focused - the longer pause at the sink slowed the process and the learning curve...
Remember in the old days a Barber would clear the blade on a towell. My uncle would place the towell over his shoulder or on the customers (face shave = on the customers shoulder, cleaning up your neck it was on his) turning to the sink would take precious time..Support Movember!

Thanked: 13245Hard as hell well water here, I wet shave, the razor, sink, face, mirror, counter, heck sometimes the floor all gets wet... Yes I dunk and swish in a full sink
Couple of rules I follow after the shave,
1. Like Pixel already pointed out rinse with HOT water
2. Wipe and Dry the razor thoroughly the heat will help dry it even after you're done
3, Never ever close the razor until the next day, I leave it open safely inside a closed drawer...
I used to wipe them with wd-40 on TP after shaving but I stopped as I figured out I didn't need it...

Thanked: 4My razors don't even get near the sink unless they are closed with the exception of there are sometimes I dunk the blade in piping hot water to heat it. I shave with two towels. I hot towel prep with one twice and the other I leave dry and keep close so I can wipe the blade. Then I rinse the soap out of the dry towel with cold water and close my pores with the cold towel.

I shave only holding the razor in my right hand, and wipe the razor off on the back of my left hand. BTW, this is the same method that I use when performing a head shave in the barbershop.
