Anything that is water tight will work as a scuttle,play with it for awhile,you may as many do, scuttle the scuttle and face lather.
Not as romantic as the classic scuttle,but far more efficiant IMO

There are a lot of things that work. I prefer the SRD scuttle. Before that I used a moss scuttle. Before that I put a large coffee mug in a sink of hot water.
