Severe Wrist Sprain
Today I received a 30mm D-01 silvertip brush from Shavemac. It is the finest shave brush I have ever seen (I only own about 18). It is huge with soft tips and a stiff backbone. It makes my Simpson Chubby 2 from Simpson look like its for a child. The quality of the badger is a 2-band black base with almost white tips.
I like large brushes with tall handles as it is easier for me to grip the whole base in my palm as opposed to holding the brush with my fingertips. I do a 3-pass shave with a scuttle and like the extra length of the handle/brush to avoid clacking the brush on the sides of the scuttle.
Only downside is that if you properly load the brush you have enough shave lather for 800-1000 shaves (hyperbole).
A monster........but a gorgeous monster.
P.S. The service from Bernd at Shavemac is superb.

Nice. I really like my Simpson PJ3 SB. It's probably my favorite brush. Works well with creams or hard soaps.

Those brushes should serve you well.
My favorite is my Rooney 2 bander. It's big and thick and has a long handle and is the cat's meow in brushes. Too bad you can't that old two band hair anymore. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

That looks like a great brush! I am crazy about my Shavemac.
