Default Simpson Chubby 2 best or Polo 10 best

So I've decided to treat myself to a new brush and have narrowed it down to one of these two.
Looking at specs it looks like the polo 10 is a chubby 2 knot in a bigger haddle?

I really like the look of the chubby 2 but am afraid the handle will be to short for me. What is the handle like if i'm wrong about the polo 10 knot?

oh and i'm using almost exclusively hard soaps at the moment is either or, or even nether more suited?

    Thanks in advance gents.

I am very fond of the Polo handle. I have big hands though so that might be something to consider. Can't go wrong either way though.

I always thought the Chubby was a unique brush because of it's very dense fill but I could be wrong on that.

I have a Chubby 3 and the short handle can be a pain especially with a deep scuttle and it can be messy because of all the lather it makes. However I would never part with mine.

Maybe the same hair but the Chubby 2 has a 29mm knot, polo 10 is 30mm
    The handle hgt diff is huge,Chubby 2 is 45mm,Polo 10 is 68mm.
    Here is a Chubby 3 clone i made yesterday,handle hgt is 49mm.

    Hi thebigspendur,

    Thanks for the reply,
I seem to be only face lathering at the moment so the scuttle depth isn't such an issue.
I am more worried about having to hold it with the tippy tops of my fingers even though I would say I have average size hands. If you don't mind me asking how do you find that chubby 3 to hold?

I have both in 2 band. The Polo 10 is a true cream brush and very luxurious as is the Chubby 2 but I use that one for soaps. I wouldn't part with either as they both excel at their own game. I would probably base my decision on the personal use of mostly cream or soap. The chubby 2 does tend to cramp my hands because of the shorter stubby handle.

If you go to the Simpson site they specify the loft and knot diameters. I have a chubby 3 and a polo 8 & 10. If you're a face latherer with hard soaps the chubby would be my pick.
