Thread: What is the best knot you have bought?

The High Mountain White knots from TGN are a newer knot so there's not a whole lot of people who have used them yet. I'm not sure if Pixel has one in his rotation, but I know K37 put one together for himself a while back. Maybe PM him for some info on the HMW knot, and how it performs.

TGN 2 Band Finest is in my top 2 knots (that and a boar).

Have used 3 for others in custom handles,they are to spendy for me but they are beautifull knots,how do they lather?? probebly the same as any other highgrade silvertip,even mid-grade.
TGNs finest two bands are fantastic knots,just stay away from the blacks and the cheap chinese stuff.

Question at large here: I love boar brushes, that being said, what grade of badger is closest to boar? My boar brushes are the Semogue 830, 620 and the Badger and Blade edition by Omega. I love all three of them.

Black badger,the lowest grade is just a step up from boar

Yeah it's an M3. I put a 24mm in it. I have an M5 also, probably 28mm and an M2 which is going to get a 22mm silver tip, maybe. I may just go with a HMW to check it out. The Black is a little scrithcy if you are looking for soft.

Pixel is the "Anti Boar" So as a user of boar, I can surely recommend the Finest, or 2 band as a badger knot for boar lovers! Blacks have no backbone atall, IMO

I love pork,chops, loins, bacon,chicharrones,pickled pig feet are great.But IMO boar brushes suck big time, to each his own
