What is the best knot you have bought?

Im trying to figure out what is the best quality knot to buy>>? I knot its opinion but what is the best knot out there in Your opinion .??? or another question is who sales the best knots>>>????

The Golden Nib if making your own shave brush, probably is your best reliable source for quality. My favorite knot is Finest badger. Plenty of back bone but still soft, and the colors of the hair makes for a distinct presentation.

Just my opinion, I have a silvertip and it's too soft. IMO a cream brush only. I use either Best or finest it's just what I found I like. High mountain white I have no clue, but Yeti hair I heard is awesome once you get past the stench....just kidding!

My list of brushes from least favorite to favorite are:
Mixed or pure Badger
Horse hair
Silvertip
Boar
Best
Finest

You have to understand everyone is going to have different opinion. I think the best all around is Best badger, I don't think you can go wrong there

I would like to get alot of opinions on this so we can rank these some how. i know that eveyone is diff and likes diff things but we all know what we like and I want the best knot possible for my rubberset 400 restore.

You can make any silvertip not soft by using the proper loft setting.
TGN finest two bands are great as are the grade As. HMW is fantastic

oh so you have used the HMW? Did you get it from TGN ? how did you like it? Pixelfixed i seen that you do a few brushes. what is your opinion on the best knot you have used.?? I seen a 2 banded one here

I have not purchased a knot to restore a shave brush. I have and use a variety of shave brushes and in order of preference they are:

Muhle synthetic silver tip, face lathers triple milled soaps and creams well
Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian silver tip, face lathers triple milled soaps and creams well
SOC 2 band silver tip, face lathers triple milled soaps and creams well
Muhle Retro silver tip, face lathers triple milled soaps and creams well
Two different boar brushes and they face lather triple milled soaps and creams well.

Not much to choose from as they all will work well. The difference is how they feel on the face while they are doing their job of lathering. If I had to pick only a badger it would be a HMW/Manchurian as it has enough backbone without being overly scratchy and soft tips to pamper the face. The degree of backbone/stiffness is affected by what the loft is and how densely packed it is in any brush. So many variables it is almost impossible to say what the best type of knot for a specific individual is.

Thats an interesting site.$60 gold dollors The best knots I have ever used came out of England but those sources dried up 5 yrs ago,are no more.
HMWs are are nice Knots if they are the real deal.My Favorite Knot is the TGN Grade As followed by the TGN finest two bands.
The best knot is the knot that holds up the longest under all conditions.
