Thanked: 375Not speaking for anyone, but I think your original question was would you glue these knots in a handle? my answer.....NO,
But I think thing's got side tracked....maybe?
From your pic's I would suggest sticking with the FS - if they are passing your test. As to the others, I think you said a friend gave them to you? so no real loss for you. Your friend may be disappointed, if you inform them of the quality. If you don't then it was still a nice Gesture on their part. Knots are expensive, and the majority come from China - I would suggest the difference is Quality control, and you're going to pay more for that. I think they just don't pack their knots with as much hair as other manufactures (which I think is what is causing the issue JMO). So in my opinion the failed knots are the expensive ones. Other than aesthetics they probably will serve their purpose but I wouldn't sell them.CHRIS

It happened in my other thread too
I can not convince every shaver in the world.
Maybe for example someone didn't like my re-handle work on my DE's or the material that i use
What shall i do,to abandon them ?

You are right, the FS is in use.

Thanked: 375Can't answer the first question, I think everyone has their own experiences with products and everyone has opinions.
If you're selling, you're at the mercy of the public. Either what you make speaks to them or it doesn't.
Glad I could help, but I think you knew the answer all ready (referring to the knots), and were looking for reassurance that what you were thinking was right.CHRIS

Thanked: 1184""""How can i make the decision to glue those knots ?
Would any of you take the risk and glue those knots ?
Tell me your opinion.""""
I think you need to glue them into something and use them to get a real test. Set the loft lower in the handle and see how it turns out. The only question I have is, why did your friend give them to you? Did he test them? Does he want you to make brushes for him? Did he just want to get rid of them? The material used to glue those knots look weird to me but that doesn't mean anything really. Just not what I see on quality knots I buy.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

He is New in the hobby with no experience
Of course not,the knots were unattached
He asked for my help,i could refuse.
The base knot is a little bit weird,i don't know what kind of glue the chinese factory use.
I start working in one knot to fit him in a spare handle and i will post the results.
No,i am not selling brushes or handles or anything had to do with shaving
I am not related to some other company or i haven't anything against the PC&W
I didn't knew that company, you will find nothing in my previous posts referring to them.

I found a spare handle,i was not using it
A little work on the base knot,i "toss" it more in the handle to prevent overbloom
I glue it not very good but enough to do the test
and the lather began.

In the beginning everything looked good but when the time for swirling came look what happened with a little pressure:
The knot under the foucet,no backbone at all.
Here it is in the end of shaving.
What you think about it now ?
Me, i am not happy at all.
