I didn't care for it and ended up just tossing it. The bristles are so springy that I was inadvertently flicking lather around and I didn't care for the face feel. The travel brush is a good idea, but I already have a travel brush I like. Easy come, easy go.

Yea, sounds like The Body Shop's brush I had.

I recently bought a second of these brushes and ended up with one of each style. I'll try to post description and photos tonight.

I like/ agree with your discription. I think I would give it a miss even for a travel brush. Kind of completely useless. In fact if I ever used it as a travel brush I would probably leave it behind in the hotel on purpose.

Just a couple quick pics of the two versions of this brush. Both knots are absolutely the same. The handles are similar, but clearly not the same.

The Plisson brush had a more well defined wood grain and is a slightly lighter color. When I knock my ring against the L'Occtaine brush is has more of a hollow sound, and the Plisson brush feels more solid. On a hunch I weighed each and found the Plisson brush notably heavier. My guess is that the Plisson brush is a solid wood handle while the L'Occtaine is a foam core or some other, lighter construction.

Overall, the Plisson handle is superior in terms of fit and finish and feel in the hand. I got one of each style by chance. Is the difference between the brushes enough for me to spend time going from store to store to find one? Not really.

Mine is completely black and does not feel like wood at all to me. Thanks for the pics.
The box says it's wood, otherwise I would have guessed plastic.
