Thanked: 1184Mine sits under the running water while the water heats up. I try to keep as much water out of the knot, where it's inside the handle, as possible.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I have been using this method . The spout acts as a cradle
I fill it with hot water, shower ,drain, use as my scuttle, stays warm for 15 mins . Great way to repurpose the fine china and soak/heat my brush.
Attached underplate makes it easy to hold on to.Your only as good as your last hone job.

I take my Moss scuttle (the small one) and fill the reservoir 3/4 or so full. Run a bit of water on the bristles of the brush, and stick it bristles down in the scuttle, so that the handle is not getting wet. Pour a bit of water on the puck and walk away for a few minutes. That is my brush prep.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I put my brush in the shower for ten minutes then get it out and lather it up. Then I'll get a scalding hot towel and lay it on the brush. After that, I re-lather the brush, do another hot towel, then re-lather again. Then before I apply the lather, I put hair conditioner and pre-shave oil on it, and then I'm ready to go. It only takes an additional 45 minutes and makes the shave a much more enjoyable experience for the brush.

I fill my scuttle, including the inner bowl, with very warm (not hot) water, and put the brush in without submerging the handle; then I shower. I take the brush out after I've stropped whichever razor I'll be using, and squeeze out most of the water. Then I refill the scuttle with HOT water for lathering.
When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
It's the same when you are stupid.

I use the low tech method and put the brush under running hot water for 10 seconds.

Thanked: 2Picked this up at the 99ยข store. Wanted something I could soak the bristles in and not the handle on this brush. Trying to avoid getting the handle wet as long as I can. Also works well as a brush stand due to the edge of the handle and fluffiness of the knot.
