You can get a best badger in a good size for probably around $60 which will still have backbone and not be scratchy.

How do you guys justify buying a $200 dollar brush with a marginally better performance when one way below that price range would have a the same effect and do the same thing?

Thanked: 3222You don't have to justify it is the answer. You want it, you buy it budget permitting. You are indulging in a bit of decadent excess for the pure pleasure of the ability to do so. At the very worst there is a bit of snob appeal too, possibly. Justify it never, for me at least.

Just like justifying a 75k truck over a30k truck it's all what you want and can afford, my wife doesn't a wear 200 dollar rings either So that's my input lots of reasons to spend more , like in good shoes or fine wines. Etc. etc. tc

Probably the best analogy is taking a flight and either going coach or first class. It's the same plane and it gets you there the same time and the ride is equally comfortable or uncomfortable. You pay the big bucks for the fancy seats and the hot towel and a meal served on real dishes and some mixed nuts. Is that worth 5x as much or more?

Gentlemen,
This week my boar bristle brushes came out of retirement. The Semogue Owners Club, my favorite of all the boar brushes I have used, is pure pleasure.
