Thanked: 3228As much as I like synthetic knots none of the ones I have are particularly scrubby so i don't think you would like one of them.
Oth if you want to try a boar knot I would get an Omega 10066 for under $10.00 to test the waters. The one I have is nice and stiff and will scrub your face. If you go with a boar brush understand they need about 3 weeks of every day use to really break in. When they break in you won't really loose stiffness but the tips will split and soften a bit. It is a very nice little brush that shocked me in how well it performs. At that price you don't have much to loose.

A Manchurian knot or a Thater should do nicely. A more modest size should be in your budget. Check out Thater and Simpson.
