Im looking for a new brush. I m thinking a little more stiff than the one im using now any suggestions? Thnx

im not quite sure it came in a kit for vintage blades no mame on it

With no starting point as a reference pretty hard to advise. A price point would help too. Maybe somebody who has used that brush could help.

I dont want to spend more than 150.00 i dont believe my current one is very expensive at all

It turns out its a vintage blades brush finest badger 20 mm

Any Idea what the loft is set at?

Loft is 50 mm

smouge oc boar breaks in lovely its huge and floppy and its under 20 bucks and will lasy years...... you need it, its a must have and im a badger guy

Just had a look here https://www.vintagebladesllc.com/sho...-Blades-Brand/ and it is said to be a 2 band badger knot. Two band badgers are generally known for their stiffness/backbone compared to 3 band silver tips. Maybe look for a more densely packed slightly larger 2 band badger brush with with a low loft setting. The good news is that with your budget you will have a lot of good choices. The 2 band that I have is a Semogue SOC brush that has good backbone/stiffness and is well within your budget. How it compares to yours I could not say, unfortunately.
