My Vie-Long White Horse Hair Brush arrived
Butterscotch Edition
Model 13065-2
Hair mix: 50% mane hair - 50% tail hair
Overall Length - 107mm.
Handle Length - 54mm.
Loft - 53mm.
Knot - 24mm.
My 3rd brush from Vie-Long but my 1st White Horse
As you can see has no similarity with that Boar that some turkish sellers represent as "Horse" brush.
I haven't test it yet in my face, still is in the preparation stage [white vinegar soluble plus 2 times bowl lathering as a start before touches my skin]
The bristles are much more softer than other Horse brushes from Vie-Long,those who look "red"
There is no "birds nest" effect yet,no smell and does not bloom easily.
Soon i will post photos from the "official" bowl lather test to see how it performs.

If the knot is like the white horse on the vie-long lord randall it, IMO, performs excellent. It is one of my favorite brushes, badger, boar, horse or synthetic. I have found it softer than any other vie long horse knot with excellent backbone as well. In fact the only horse knot I have that is softer is the 24mm Horse Knot from PC Woodcraft but that has no backbone.
Enjoy the brush!

I can see the pictures,i use Mozilla and the site which i use for uploading haven't delete them
I took my new brush, wash it 2 times,i make palm lather twice
I rinse it and the very next day i made the first test,i was disappointed, here are the photo from the second test:
Unfortunately there is the so called "birds nest" !
I didn't apply too much pressure,i was swirling the brush as i did with all my brushes
I don't like painting moves, those are for a finish work just before the blade starts working.
The volume of the falling water isn't the maximum but still the knot can't resist.
I am not happy, the knot is soft with no good backbone, even a Lijun Silvertip looks better than this brush.
Soon i will post bowl lather photos, there looks good but when the real job began this brush has only few things to show.

It's a good brush with adequate backbone and tip is very soft.

In the beginning nothing seems bad, that's why i say that bowl lather photos are good for "show"
After few swirling moves in my face
The knot starts to open for what we called as "bird's nest" although i say it "grenade effect"
This is after the towel drying procedure
This brush is good only for paintings moves which i don't like them at all as a part of main shave
I didn't bought a brush having in my mind that i can't use it for swirling.

I let the brush soaked 30 sec in hot water, look how it came out !
The only "pressure" on this brush was his own weight,if a knot can stand the weight of a handle can you imagine latter while swirling the results?
After the few seconds that i start swirling
Face lather results
If i wanted a brush just for painting moves i could buy a cheap chinese brush for 4 euro
Even a Lijun brush has much better backbone and no "bird nest effect,i am done with this brush
I am not an expert,i have tested about 120 brushes-this one is not for me.
