Thanked: 3I have a question for people who have used this scuttle. It's pretty much what I'm looking for (holds the soap, provides a vessel to hold hot water to keep lather warm, place to lather). Even though it includes a place to lather, I would like to know how well it holds the heat. I thought the moss scuttle was small so it could just fit the brush and lather, that way the heat doesn't escape and cool it too fast. If that's the case, wouldn't these cool too quickly? Or do they seem to hold their heat in all right?
Also, what's the difference between L, LO, and LK? Just the style?Last edited by Berticus; 07-26-2007 at 02:44 PM.

Think of the Moss Scuttle as a piece of cast iron. It is a heavy piece of pottery, and holds the heat very well.

They hold the heat very well and the larger size for me is better than my large moss scuttle. I would like the "sidecar to be deeper and a larger diameter so I could get my brush in better though. It still is a first rate scuttle and worth every penny.

Thanked: 0Stop Already!
OK, I want one! Enough!
I really like the look of the new handles too, very cool - but the shipping is still prohibitive! Nuts! Dam AD...

Here's one out of left field (is that correct, I know nothing about baseball?) it hit me like a bolt out of the blue.
I reckon Colleen should become the official agent for these fine scuttles in the US, and then people will be able to buy their shaving lotions and potions, and then buy the scuttle to go with it all from the one stop (soap) shop (so to speak).
That is my thought anyway as crazy as it seems.
Cheers

Thanked: 3Might be a bit onerous for her, I think. She'd have to order a ton and just have it sit at her place until someone orders it? That's less likely to happen, I think. Would be a great idea if it was really high in demand though.
