    Default VP LeonHardy 700050

I got a new VP LEONHARDY 700050 shaving brush today. That's the big one. No, it didn't come in the mail. I had the good fortune to be passing through Jacksonville, FL this morning and stopped by The Superior Shave. I met Jarrod, proprietor, who went out of his way to accomadate me. On Saturdays his shop opens at 10:00 a.m. That's a bit late for a truck driver who wants to be on down the road. I called yesterday and he kindly met me this morning at 8:00a.m. I drove to his shop, entered the parking lot, turned around (quite the challenge in a big rig), and parked right in front of the shop.

    1. VP LEONHARDY 700050. 2. VULFIX 2235. 3. HIS 1794 SYNTHETIC. 4. HIS 1918 SYNTHETIC (complimentary from Classic Shaving). 5. PLISSON L'OCCITANE SYNTHETIC. That's my growing collection. Next up is the KENT BK12.

Here's Jarrod in front of his shop this morning. Note closely the reflection in the glass. You can see both me and my truck.

Or you can see Jarrod standing by my truck. I wish I would of had more time for a complete tour of shop and products.

Again, my sincere appreciation to Jarrod for his courtesy this morning.

Thanks for sharing your experience at The Superior Shave. It is nice to see what Jarod looks like, as well as his shop. Congratulations on the new, dynamite brush.

They are made by FM Brush Co. Don't know what HIS stands for. Many distributors on web including Amazon. I think they are great synthetic brushes, esp. the 1794 model.

Nice brush! How are you liking it?I've been known to drop in to The Superior Shave a time or two when I'm in the area. Jarrod is a great guy, patiently answering my questions and taking the time to chat. My growing collection of Simpsons have for the most part been bought there.

I have now had my VP LEONHARDY 700050 just over a month. I've used it roughly 8 times, rotating through my other brushes. I absolutely love this brush. The size, knot, handle, loft, bloom, etc. BUT, I'm losing 6-15 hairs per use. I'm not comfortable with that, but I've read a good brush requires several uses for a good break in period.

I've now had this brush jus short of 3 months. I still love everything about this thing but it continues to lose 10-40 hairs per use. Tonight all hell broke lose, fell out. What is going on with this brush?

Before someone says I need to contact the seller, which I will (I realize he didn't make the thing), what can realistically be done?

Just a bad knot and the vendor may replace the brush for you. Let us know how you make out.
