It's a very good price seeing as you can spend more on some plissons, Simpsons and thaters, and they are just a high quality production brush, I would have suspected it to cost more considerring the fine craftsmanship and knot he's putting in them. Tc

Thanked: 2284I've seen them. I think they've been around for at least a year or two now. He does fantastic work on the brushes, definitely a lot of craftsmanship.
But can someone tell me what shape the handle is on that home page???Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

From what I can see there is no real defined shape. Kind of like some modern art statement.

They are certainly very pleasing to the eye. Can't help thinking they're overpriced though. IMHO obviously!

Ok but I'll sa this , I,m not interested in one of these as beautiful as they are, just not my cup of tea, but a Thater with high end knot runs that much as do Simpsons and all they have is a cheap plastic handle,, so if his knots are high quality it's a real bargain. Tc

All businesses have a right to charge what they want , it's the consumer who decides if it's worth it. If you work I,m sure there are people who don't think There's value in your product either, but as to history , I have a few old badger brushes, so just remember value is in the end buyers hand, and then again , maybe the Simpsons and Thaters price point isn't that high to some. Thanked: 5I don't even know anymore if a brush, ANY brush, is worth anything over $100..I can get a GREAT lather from a $10 boar...the end result (the shave) is still the same...I think I'd rather invest in some quality hardware (razors) rather than software (brushes). Back in the days, weren't men using boar rather than badger? all barbershop videos i've seen they were using boars...of course the simpsons or Thater CEO will tell you otherwise because if not for their overpriced brushes they wouldn't be able to afford an aston martin and a mistress or two on the side. This is my 2 cents. As always YMMV.
